    บริษัท โตโยต้า มอเตอร์ ประเทศไทย จำกัด แนะนำรถสปอร์ตรุ่นใหม่ล่าสุด “Toyota GR Supra” การกลับมาของรถสปอร์ตในตำนาน ที่มาพร้อมกับคำนิยามของความสมบูรณ์แบบ ทั้งสมรรถนะในการขับขี่ รวมไปถึงรูปลักษณ์ดีไซน์สปอร์ตในทุกมิติ โดย Toyota GR Supra ในเจเนอเรชั่นที่ 5 นี้ ถือเป็นรุ่นแรกที่ได้รับการพัฒนาและแนะนำสู่ตลาดอย่างเป็นทางการโดย Toyota GAZOO Racing แบรนด์รถแข่งมอเตอร์สปอร์ตระดับโลกของโตโยต้า ที่ดำเนินงานด้วยหลักปรัชญาที่ว่า การทดสอบขีดจำกัดของสมรรถนะการขับขี่ขั้นสูงสุดของรถยนต์ จะแสดงให้เห็นถึงศักยภาพของรถยนต์ได้อย่างเต็มที่ ซึ่งเราไม่สามารถเห็นได้ในการขับขี่แบบปกติในชีวิตประจำวัน โดยทั้งหมดล้วนเป็นเป้าหมายที่ท้าทายในการพัฒนายนตรกรรม “ที่ดียิ่งกว่า” (Ever-Better Cars) ของโตโยต้า

    มร.มิจิโนบุ ซึงาตะ กรรมการผู้จัดการใหญ่ บริษัท โตโยต้า มอเตอร์ ประเทศไทย จำกัด กล่าวว่า “หลังจากที่ห่างหายไปจากตลาดรถยนต์เป็นระยะเวลากว่า 17 ปี รถ GR รุ่นแรกที่ผลิตโดย TOYOTA GAZOO Racing ก็ได้ทำการเปิดตัวไปทั่วโลก และวันนี้ถือเป็นโอกาสดีสำหรับผู้ที่ชื่นชอบรถสปอร์ต โดย Toyota GR Supra ได้ทำการเปิดตัวในประเทศไทย ทุกท่านอาจสงสัยว่า เพราะอะไร Supra ถึงเป็นรถสปอร์ตในตำนานของโตโยต้า คนส่วนใหญ่อาจจะคิดว่าเป็นเพราะเครื่องยนต์ที่มีประสิทธิภาพที่เหนือกว่า และรูปร่างที่โดดเด่นไม่เหมือนใคร แต่คุณสมบัติเหล่านั้นเป็นเพียงเรื่องราวบางส่วนเท่านั้น”

    “Mr. Akio Toyoda กรรมการผู้จัดการใหญ่ บริษัท โตโยต้า มอเตอร์ คอร์ปอเรชั่น ผู้ซึ่งเป็น Master Driver ได้กล่าวว่า “ย้อนกลับไปในช่วงเวลานั้น ผมทุ่มเทเวลานับไม่ถ้วน ไปกับการทดลองขับรถ Supra รุ่นก่อน ที่สนามแข่ง Nürburgring เพื่อฝึกฝนให้เป็น Master Driver โดย Supra เปรียบเสมือนเพื่อนเก่าที่มีคุณค่าทางจิตใจกับผมเป็นอย่างมาก ถึงแม้ว่าโตโยต้าจะไม่มีแผนที่จะผลิต Supra รุ่นใหม่ แต่ผมก็อยากจะทำให้รถรุ่นนี้กลับมาอีกครั้ง” โดย Mr. Akio Toyoda จึงขอให้ Toyota Gazoo Racing Team พัฒนา Supra รุ่นใหม่ โดยทำการทดสอบภายในสนามที่ Nürburgring ซึ่งถือได้ว่าเป็นสนามแข่งขันที่ท้าทายมากที่สุดสนามหนึ่งในการทดสอบรถยนต์    และด้วยเหตุนี้   Supra  ใหม่ จึงมิได้เป็นเพียงรถสปอร์ตที่เกิดขึ้นมาไม่เพียงแค่ขับสนุก แต่เป็นยนตรกรรมที่ดีขึ้นในทุกมิติ”

Toyota GR Supra... From Circuit To Road

    จากแรงบันดาลใจอันยาวนานกว่า 50 ปี ที่มอบประสบการณ์อันเป็นที่สุดของการผสมผสานสุดยอดสมรรถนะในการขับขี่ และเอกลักษณ์สไตล์รถสปอร์ตได้อย่างลงตัว โดย Toyota GR Supra ได้รับการออกแบบภายใต้แนวคิด “Condensed Extreme” ซึ่งเป็นการออกแบบที่มุ่งเน้นการจัดสรรองค์ประกอบและมิติต่างๆ ของตัวรถให้ส่งเสริมสมรรถนะอันโดดเด่นของรถสปอร์ต ทั้งนี้ คำว่า “Condensed” สื่อถึงความสัมพันธ์ของส่วนประกอบต่างๆ ไม่ว่าจะเป็นความยาวของตัวรถ ระยะฐานล้อ ไปจนถึงการวางตำแหน่งของล้อและยาง ส่วน “Extreme” นั้นสื่อถึงความสัมพันธ์ระหว่างห้องโดยสาร (ตำแหน่งผู้ขับ) และระยะห่างระหว่างล้อที่ถูกขยายให้กว้าง และเมื่อเทียบกับ Belt line แนว สันด้านข้างตัวถังที่ถูกกดให้ต่ำและโป่งนูนออกมามากเป็นพิเศษ ทำให้ GR Supra มีความโดดเด่นกว่ารถสปอร์ตทั่วไป และการออกแบบด้วยแนวคิด Condensed Extreme นี้ ทำให้ Toyota GR Supra มีขนาดห้องโดยสารที่พอเหมาะ ลงตัวกับตำแหน่งตัวรถที่กดต่ำและหนักแน่น ส่งผลให้รถมีการบังคับควบคุมและมีเสถียรภาพในระดับสูง

- มุมมองด้านข้างที่เน้นองค์ประกอบระหว่าง ล้อขนาดใหญ่กับช่วงล้อที่สั้นกระชับ

- ตำแหน่งของตัวรถที่ถูกกดให้ต่ำและกว้างมากเป็นพิเศษ อันมาจากห้องโดยสารขนาดพอเหมาะ รองรับด้วยระยะห่างระหว่างล้อซ้าย-ขวาที่ขยายกว้างออกมาอย่างเด่นชัด

    Mr. Michinobu Sugata, President of Toyota Motor Thailand, alongside Mr. Tetsuya Tada, Chief Engineer at Toyota Motor Corporation and Mr. Vudhigorn Suriyachantananont, Executive Vice President at Toyota Motor Thailand presided over the Press Conference to launch the legendary sport car - “Toyota GR Supra” developed under the concept “From Circuit To Road on 26th November 2019, at Toyota ALIVE SPACE, ICON SIAM

    Toyota Motor Thailand introduces the latest sports car, the "Toyota GR Supra", the legendary sports car is retuned. This sport car is the true definition of perfection combination of superb driving performance and the sporty design in every dimension. The fifth generation of Toyota GR Supra is the first model that has been developed and officially introduced to the market by Toyota GAZOO Racing, a world-class motorsport racing brand. Toyota GAZOO Racing is working under the philosophy that the extreme conditions during the race train the cars as well as the drivers up to their ultimate limits which we cannot see in normal driving on a daily basis. All of which are challenging goals in the development of vehicles to create the Ever-Better Cars.

    Mr. Michinobu Sugata, President of Toyota Motor Thailand said, “After a 17-year absence from the market, Toyota GR Supra has landed in Thailand. Even though Toyota had no plans to make a new Supra, I secretly wanted to make it happen.” Akio requested Gazoo Racing Team to create the driving dynamics for new Supra by testing at Nürburgring, known as the most challenging place to test a car.     Inspired over 50 years with the ultimate experience of the combination of driving performance and the unique style of the sports car perfectly, Toyota GR Supra has been designed under the concept “Condensed Extreme” which is the importance of working out how to incorporate the performance characteristics of a sports car into the packaging and express that through the car’s shape. ‘Condensed’ refers to the relationship between the tire diameter, wheelbase, and overall length. The difference is outstanding." Sports cars characteristically have large tires, which are a vital factor for agile driving performance. 'Extreme' refers to the relationship between the cabin (position of the occupants) and the tread (position of the tires). "In terms of the tire position relative to the belt line, this car is outstanding and very few production vehicles can compete with it." The tight cabin and super-wide stance enable a high level of both maneuverability and stability.
