“Robinhood” to bring fine-dining experience from eight leading hotels in Bangkok delivering right to your doors
Thailand-based food delivery platform “Robinhood” is ready to support and assist businesses suffered from impacts of the COVID-19 pandemic. Most recently, it has teamed up with eight leading hotels in Bangkok, namely Crowne Plaza Bangkok Lumpini Park, Century Park Hotel, Dusit Group, Novotel Bangkok Sukhumvit 20, Pullman Bangkok King Power Bangkok, Montien Hotel Surawong Bangkok, Marriot Bangkok Sukhumvit, and Hotel Indigo Bangkok Wireless Road, to list hotel restaurants on the Robinhood food delivery platform, allowing customers to enjoy fine-dining menu delivering right to their doors. The approach is expected to help increase opportunities, distribution channels, and revenues benefiting the hotel business while the tourism industry is yet to recover.
In announcing the collaboration, Mr. Thana Thienachariya, Chairman of Purple Ventures Co., Ltd., as Robinhood’s developer and service provider, said that, “Hotel is one of the businesses directly affected by situations triggered by the COVID-19. A number of foreign tourists has sharply declined due to pandemic-driven travel bans, forcing the hotel service segment to lose most of their revenues. Many hotels have adjusted their business model in an effort to generate sufficient revenues to keep business alive and to take care of their employees to survive this difficult period. Realizing these difficulties, Robinhood has teamed up with eight leading hotels in Bangkok, comprising Crowne Plaza Bangkok Lumpini Park, Century Park Hotel, Dusit Group, Novotel Bangkok Sukhumvit 20, Pullman Bangkok King Power Bangkok, Montien Hotel Surawong Bangkok, Marriot Bangkok Sukhumvit, and Hotel Indigo Bangkok Wireless Road to list their famous menus of their hotel restaurants on the its food delivery platform. Robinhood continues to maintain its standpoint of not charging the GP (gross profit) fee, allowing operators to enjoy their revenues from sales in full. Customers will be able to pay the same price and quantity as dining in restaurants.
