ธนาคารไทยพาณิชย์เดินหน้าตอกย้ำความเป็นผู้นำด้านดิจิทัลแบงก์กิ้งอย่างต่อเนื่อง ล่าสุดประกาศความร่วมมือทางธุรกิจกับ Azimo สตาร์ทอัพจากประเทศอังกฤษผู้ให้บริการการรับเงินโอนเข้าจากต่างประเทศผ่านธนาคารไทยพาณิชย์เพื่อโอนเงินเข้าบัญชีผู้รับโอนที่ใช้บริการพร้อมเพย์ทุกธนาคารกว่า 24 แห่ง แบบเรียลไทม์ พร้อมให้บริการรับโอนเงินจากทวีปยุโรปมายังประเทศไทย รองรับธุรกรรมระหว่างประเทศในยุคดิจิทัลที่กำลังเติบโตอย่างรวดเร็ว
นายอาทิตย์ ศรีอัมพร ผู้อำนวยการ ผู้บริหารส่วน Wholesale Banking Platform ธนาคารไทยพาณิชย์ กล่าวว่า “เพื่อเป็นการอำนวยความสะดวกให้ลูกค้าในต่างแดนที่ต้องการโอนเงินมายังประเทศไทย สามารถทำได้แบบเรียลไทม์ ธนาคารไทยพาณิชย์ มุ่งมั่นพัฒนาระบบการชำระเงินข้ามประเทศทั้งในประเทศและระดับภูมิภาคเอเชียตะวันออกเฉียงใต้ ได้จับมือเป็นพันธมิตรทางธุรกิจกับ Azimo บริษัทสตาร์ทอัพระดับโลก เพื่อร่วมกันพัฒนาประสบการณ์ทางการเงินที่ดียิ่งขึ้นแก่ลูกค้า โดยเปิดให้บริการรับเงินโอนเข้าจากต่างประเทศผ่านธนาคารไทยพาณิชย์ เพื่อโอนเงินเข้าบัญชีผู้รับโอนที่ใช้บริการพร้อมเพย์ทุกธนาคารกว่า 24 แห่ง แบบเรียลไทม์ เริ่มให้บริการรับโอนเงินจากทวีปยุโรปมายังประเทศไทย โดยบริการรูปแบบใหม่ในครั้งนี้จะนำเทคโนโลยี RippleNet ซึ่งเป็นเครือข่ายการชำระเงินระดับโลกที่ทำให้ลูกค้าสามารถรับโอนเงินได้ทันทีตามความต้องการ สามารถติดตามเงินได้แบบเรียลไทม์ ตลอด 24 ชม. ซึ่งลูกค้าของ Azimo สามารถโอนเงินให้คนสำคัญของพวกเขามายังประเทศไทยได้อย่างรวดเร็ว ทันต่อความต้องการ ด้วยค่าบริการที่คุ้มค่า ปลอดภัย และมีความแม่นยำสูง โดยธนาคารหวังว่าบริการการรับโอนเงินข้ามประเทศในครั้งนี้จะช่วยยกระดับประสบการณ์การรับเงินโอนข้ามทวีปของผู้ใช้บริการให้ดียิ่งขึ้น และจะขยายการรับโอนให้ครอบคลุมทั่วโลกในอนาคต”

SCB teams up with Azimo to introduce real-time cross-region remittance service from Europe to Thailand
To consolidate its digital banking leadership in the country, Siam Commercial Bank recently announced a business partnership with United Kingdom-based global money transfer service Azimo to deliver instant payments for customers from Europe through SCB to recipients using PromptPay. The service is made possible by a real-time clearing and settlement infrastructure that enables instant transfers to accounts at more than 24 different banks in Thailand. The new service was launched to accommodate fast-growing international remittance transactions in this digital era.
SCB Senior Vice President, Wholesale Banking Platform Department, Mr. Arthit Sriumporn affirmed that the bank is strongly determined to transform cross-border payments from around the world to provide overseas clients seeking to remit money to Thailand with the ability to do so in real-time.
“To this end, we are collaborating with fintech companies like Azimo to offer better services for our customers by launching real-time money transfers from Europe through SCB to recipients using our PromptPay service at more than 24 Thai banks. The new service uses global payment network RippleNet to harness the power of blockchain to enable users to instantly track funds, delivery times, and status 24 hours a day. Azimo customers can send money to their loved ones back in Thailand quickly, cheaply, and with certainty. We are confident this launch will help upgrade the cross-region money transfer experience to better people's lives, and we eagerly hope to see service expansion worldwide in the future,” he said.
