นายพิพัฒน์ รัชกิจประการ รัฐมนตรีว่าการกระทรวงการท่องเที่ยวและกีฬา นางสาวฐาปนีย์ เกียรติไพบูลย์ รองผู้ว่าการด้านสินค้าและธุรกิจท่องเที่ยว การท่องเที่ยวแห่งประเทศไทย (ททท.) และองค์กรเครือข่ายธุรกิจฟู้ดทรัค หรือ Food Truck Club (Thailand) โดยนายชนินทร์ วัฒนพฤกษา ประธานและผู้ก่อตั้งฟู้ดทรัคคลับ ประเทศไทย ร่วมแถลงข่าวการจัดงาน ‘World’s Largest Parade of Food Trucks’ งานสตรีทฟู้ดระดับเวิลด์คลาสและขบวนพาเหรดฟู้ดทรัคใหญ่ที่สุดในโลก ซึ่งมีกำหนดจัดงานในวันที่ 7-8 มีนาคม 2563 บริเวณริมทะเลสาบ อิมแพ็ค เมืองทองธานี ตอกย้ำความเป็นเมืองแห่งสตรีทฟู้ดที่ดีที่สุดในโลก ณ ห้องโถง อาคาร ททท.
นายพิพัฒน์ รัชกิจประการ รัฐมนตรีว่าการกระทรวงการท่องเที่ยวและกีฬา เปิดเผยว่า กระทรวงการท่องเที่ยวและกีฬา และ ททท.ร่วมมือกับองค์กรเครือข่ายธุรกิจฟู้ดทรัค ส่งเสริมภาพลักษณ์ของการท่องเที่ยวเชิงวัฒนธรรมอาหารให้กับประเทศไทย มุ่งยกระดับมาตรฐานอาหารไทย ส่งเสริมนโยบายการท่องเที่ยวเชิงอาหารไทย (Gastronomy Tourism) พร้อมสร้างเครือข่ายด้านการท่องเที่ยวเชิงอาหารอย่างเป็นรูปธรรม สร้างความน่าสนใจดึงดูดให้นักท่องเที่ยวเข้าสู่พื้นที่และกระตุ้นเศรษฐกิจในระดับชุมชนอย่างยั่งยืน เพื่อให้สอดรับกับพฤติกรรมนักท่องเที่ยวในปัจจุบัน ทั้งนี้ ภาครัฐให้ความสำคัญกับการสนับสนุน
สตรีทฟู้ดไทย (Thai Street Food) หรือร้านอาหารริมทางให้เป็นรูปแบบฟู้ดทรัคมากขึ้น เริ่มจากโครงการ หนูณิชย์ฟู้ดทรัคของกระทรวงพาณิชย์ การสร้างเครือข่ายธุรกิจฟู้ดทรัคของกระทรวงอุตสาหกรรมที่เดินหน้าอย่างจริงจังครบห่วงโซ่อุปทาน ทั้งเครือข่ายผู้ประกอบการฟู้ดทรัคและเครือข่ายสนับสนุน ซึ่งคาดว่าจะช่วยขับเคลื่อนเศรษฐกิจได้อีกทางหนึ่ง
นางสาวฐาปนีย์ เกียรติไพบูลย์ รองผู้ว่าการด้านสินค้าและธุรกิจท่องเที่ยว การท่องเที่ยวแห่งประเทศไทย กล่าวว่า สตรีทฟู้ดของประเทศไทยนั้นมีชื่อเสียงในระดับนานาชาติ และเป็นอีกหนึ่งไฮไลต์ที่ดึงดูดให้นักท่องเที่ยวต้องมาลิ้มลอง เพราะมีชื่อเสียงในเรื่องคุณภาพ รสชาติ ราคาสมเหตุสมผล และถูกหลักอนามัย ปัจจุบันกระแสความนิยมสตรีทฟู้ดไทยส่งผลให้กรุงเทพฯ เคยได้รับการจัดอันดับจากสำนักข่าวซีเอ็นเอ็น ให้เป็นสตรีทฟู้ดดีที่สุด อันดับ 1 ของโลก อย่างไรก็ตาม ททท. ดำเนินงานส่งเสริมภาพลักษณ์ของการท่องเที่ยวเชิงวัฒนธรรมอาหารมาอย่างต่อเนื่อง โดยได้ประกาศความร่วมมืออย่างเป็นทางการกับ “มิชลิน ไกด์” จัดทำคู่มือมิชลิน ไกด์ ฉบับประเทศไทย นับว่าประเทศไทยเป็นประเทศที่ 2 ในอาเซียนต่อจากสาธารณรัฐสิงคโปร์ ที่มีการสำรวจและจัดทำคู่มือโดยมิชลิน ซึ่งจะช่วย สร้างภาพลักษณ์อาหารไทยสู่ระดับสากลมากขึ้น ปัจจุบัน ททท. จัดทำคู่มือ “มิชลิน ไกด์” เป็นปีที่ 3 โดยกระจายสู่เมืองท่องเที่ยวยอดนิยมต่าง ๆ ประกอบด้วย กรุงเทพฯ ปริมณฑล ภูเก็ต พังงา และเชียงใหม่
นายชนินทร์ วัฒนพฤกษา ประธานและผู้ก่อตั้ง ฟู้ดทรัคคลับ ประเทศไทย กล่าวว่า องค์กรเครือข่ายธุรกิจฟู้ดทรัค เตรียมจัดงาน “World’s Largest Parade of Food Trucks” ในวันที่ 7-8 มีนาคม 2563 ณ ริมทะเลสาบ อิมแพ็ค เมืองธานี เพื่อตอกย้ำความเป็นอันดับหนึ่งของโลกเรื่องสตรีทฟู้ด ปัจจุบันฟู้ดทรัคคลับ ประเทศไทยมีสมาชิกผู้ประกอบการในเครือข่ายมากกว่า 700 แบรนด์ทั่วประเทศ สำหรับการจัดงานครั้งนี้มี รถฟู้ดทรัคเข้าร่วมกิจกรรมต่างๆ จำนวนกว่า 200 คัน ภายในงานประกอบด้วยเทศกาลอาหารฟู้ดทรัค การออกบูธแสดงสินค้าที่เกี่ยวข้องกับฟู้ดทรัค การแสดงมินิคอนเสิร์ต การจับรางวัลชิงโชค ขบวนพาเหรดฟู้ดทรัค การประกวดรถฟู้ดทรัค การแข่งขันการกินจุ พิธีมอบใบประกาศนียบัตร โล่รางวัล และมีพื้นที่สำหรับให้คำปรึกษาและคำแนะนำแก่ผู้ที่กำลังมองหาธุรกิจฟู้ดทรัคเป็นของตนเองอีกด้วย
การจัดงาน‘World’s Largest Parade of Food Trucks’ นี้ ทั้ง 3 หน่วยงาน มุ่งหวังสร้างภาพลักษณ์ที่ดี พร้อมสร้างชื่อเสียงและเพิ่มศักยภาพในด้านการท่องเที่ยวให้แก่ประเทศไทย เพื่อให้ได้รับการยอมรับและมีชื่อเสียงในฐานะเมืองที่มีวัฒนธรรมทางอาหารที่หลากหลาย และตอกย้ำความเป็นเมืองแห่งสตรีทฟู้ดที่ดีที่สุดในโลกต่อไป

Ministry of Tourism and Sports Joins Force with TAT and Food Truck Club (Thailand) to Reinvent a New History of "Thai Food Truck".
Minister of Tourism and Sports Ministry Mr. Pipat Ratchakitprakan; Ms. Thapanee Kiatphaibool, Deputy Governor for Tourism Products and Business, Tourism Authority of Thailand (TAT); and Food Truck Club (Thailand)’s members, led by its President and Founder Mr. Chanin Wattanapruksa together hold a press conference at TAT’s Hall to arrange the “World’s Largest Parade of Food Trucks”, a world-class street food and the world’s largest food truck parade. the “World’s Largest Parade of Food Trucks” will take place during March 7-8, 2020 at IMPACT Lakeside, Muang Thong Thani, in order to set the new world’s record and emphasize Bangkok as the world’s best street food city.
Tourism and Sports Minister Mr. Pipat Ratchakitprakan says the Ministry of Tourism and Sports and TAT work with Food Truck Club (Thailand) aiming to promote an image of Thai food culture and upgrade Thai food standardization. This will also follow the existing gastronomy tourism policy to serve the new trend of tourism, hoping to attract the big number of tourist visiting the local areas and spending money to stimulate the local economy. Currently, the government sector has placed more importance to street food, with an effort to turn it into a form of food truck, via different projects, initiated by the Ministry of Commerce and the Ministry of Industry. It is expected to help drive the country’s economy.
Ms. Thapanee Kiatphaibool, Deputy Governor for Tourism Products and Business, TAT, adds that Thailand’s street food is internationally recognized and considered as one of the tourism highlights that can attract travelers due to its quality, flavor, reasonable price and sanitation. Given the wave of its popularity, it leads Thailand to be ranked as the world’s best street food by CNN. However, TAT has constantly promoted the image of the gastronomy tourism by announcing to officially work with “Michelin Guide” to produce Michelin Guide for Thai edition as the second nation in ASEAN behind Singapore, which carried out the survey and produced such a guidebook by Michelin. This will help promote the image of Thai food to the international level. Currently, TAT has produced “Michelin Guide” as the 3rd year, highlighting other popular destinations such as Bangkok and its outskirts, Phuket, Phang Nga, and Chiang Mai.
Food Truck Club (Thailand) President and Founder Mr. Chanin Wattanapruksa, says that the Club is to organize the “World’s Largest Parade of Food Trucks” during March 7-8, 2020 at IMPACT Lakeside, Muang Thong Thani, with an effort to emphasize Thailand as the world’s top street food. Currently, Food Truck Club has operator members, who own more than 700 brands nationwide. The event is aimed at breaking the world record for largest food truck parade of 121 vehicles, which was held in March 29, 2014, in Florida, the United States.
In this event, more than 200 food trucks will join and do such activities as food truck festival, exhibition booths showing off their products, celebration on award-winning for the world record, mini concerts, lucky draw, the world’s largest food truck parade, food truck competition, eating competition and certificate and plaque presentation. Additionally, there will be a designated area to provide consultancy to those who are interested in operating their own food truck business.
Organizing the “World’s Largest Parade of Food Trucks” the three organizations expect to promote a positive image, build good reputation and increase level of Thailand’s tourism competitiveness. This will help raise Thailand’s profile as the world’s best street food destination.
